National Charity League Moonlight Chapter!

A few years ago I met a wonderful lady named Tracey Barker! She is on the board of San Diego Foster Angels. Tracey acts as the liason between SDFA and the National Charity League Moolight Chapter. Utilizing the Strengths of both organizations, she can coordinate over 300 volunteers who are able to help with SDFA efforts. Tracey is a career philanthropist, creating and supporting programs with a focus on children and food insecurity.

Through Tracey, we met the wonderful Mom and Daughter Teams from NCL'S Moonlight Chapter! NCL's Moonlight Chapter fosters the mother-daughter relationship through an ongoing commitment to philanthropy. They are amazing and just a couple of the mom and daughter groups are pictured above. I cannot tell you how much they bring to Straight From The Heart! They tirelessly work side by side and every time they come to volunteer, you visibly see the difference! Thank you Tracey and thank you NCL Moonlight Chapter of Moms and Daughters! You are the best!

High Tech High Middle School San Marcos!

​Hight Tech Middle School North County sent students to Straight From The Heart  to learn about our Non-Profit! They committed to working in the shop for 8 days or so and were ready and willing to do any and all tasks assigned to them. The students decided it would be a great idea to bring the thrift shop to their school during exhibition night! They made some great  money for the shop and a special thanks to the teachers who hauled and loaded and picked up and brought back!
We love that this wonderful school believes in teaching real life examples of how communities work, and especially how important it is to embrace service of others in need.
