Kairos Church Members came to help organize and distribute items for foster children and families! They
Stella Gerson is a busy University of San Diego law student and President of Advocates for Children and Education (ACE) at USD School of Law. She voluntarily organized, collected, and personally delivered boxes and boxes of donations.Through the generosity of community members like Stella, we are able to distribute new toys, clothes, bikes, books, and games directly to foster families in North County San Diego. This helps make the holidays special for hundreds of foster children
warming many little (and big) hearts! 
Todd Chaney and Jane Jenner regularly bring new bikes to Straight From The Heart for the holiday season! Over the years, the generosity of Chaney Electric has delivered brand new bikes to us and puts countless smiles on the faces of foster children (and their caregivers) during the holiday season. We're endlessly thankful for their thoughtful, generous kindness each year!
Sonja Meline organized the EFFORTLESS company donation of STEM toys for our foster kids. Our foster teens especially appreciate the techy gifts! We give thanks for this group of caring individuals. It's extremely rare to receive tech toys -- and like all kids in the universe, foster kids want the tech too! We cannot even express the joy that erupts when we hand a 16-year-old a new Kindle Fire.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW ) Post 3795 in San Marcos, CA donated bags and bags filled with new toys to help stock our Kids Pack Room. When a child enters the child welfare system, they typically have nothing but the clothes on their backs. Foster caregivers arrive at our resource center and we provide a "Kid Pack" kit filled with all the basics -- toiletries, socks, shoes, underwear, several changes of clothes. We like to add a few special items to warm a small heart that may be feeling sad, confused and scared. We are so thankful for our Veterans who gave so much to our country and continue to give to our community!
A huge thank you to James Wright from Kimonos for Kai and the wonderful gentlemen from Break Point FC and CK Fight Life. Because of their generous $1,800 donation during our annual holiday fundraising, we were able to purchase specialty items and gifts for our tween and teen foster kids.
